NVMP - StEP E-waste Summer School - Open Call for Papers

The United Nations University, hosting the Secretariat of the StEP Initiative is inviting applications for the NVMP-StEP E-waste Summer School 2010.

 

Doctoral students, final year master students and post-docs currently researching on e-waste and related areas are invited to apply for the second NVMP-StEP E-waste Summer School.

 

The Summer School will be held in Eindhoven, Netherlands and Hoboken, Belgium from 29th August – 8th September, 2010.

 

The theme for the summer school is “Enabling Sustainable EEE Cycles”. The programme includes a mix of student presentations, expert lectures, group work and study tours. It provides to participants a platform to share knowledge, interact with experts and gain a holistic view on e-waste.

 

The E-waste Summer School is sponsored by NVMP, the Dutch compliance scheme as well as Philips Consumer Lifestyle and Umicore Precious Metals Refining. It is organised by the United Nations University, with support from EMPA and Technical University Braunschweig.

The Call for Applications is now open, and the deadline for applications is 30th April 2010. An application comprises of a short 3-5 page paper, a completed application form and recent CV.
