The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs will help Peru promote the environmentally sound management of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
During his visit to Switzerland, Peruvian environment minister Antonio Brack signed a cooperation agreement with Swiss economics minister Doris Leuthard on 21 August. The e-scrap management project will be led by the Swiss organisation EMPA (Federal Laboratories for Materials Testing and Research), and involve several private and public partners in Peru, according to the Swiss government.
